SCORING
Team Scorekeeper Meetings:
(Scorekeepers only need to attend one of the offered sessions)
Monday, February 22 from 6-8:00pm
Thursday, March 4 from 6-8:00pm
Meetings will be held at the Alamo Plaza Round Table
Scorekeeping Information
1. The stats that will appear in the paper will come from Stat Central.
2. All players on the team MUST be listed in the line-up. If a player is not playing for any reason (absent, injured, coach discipline, parent discipline) it must be listed next to their name at the bottom of the page in the official book.
3. Both managers and the plate umpire must sign the official scorebook at the end of every game.
4. Errors will be scored in all divisions
When an error occurs a hit can not be recorded. Some examples:
- Dropped balls
- overthrows
- Not getting a glove down and the ball going between a player's legs
- A ball that bounces off a glove
5. To help with the problem of scoring errors vs. hits, the official scorekeeper (Home Team) and the visiting scorekeeper will sit together.
